Nancy was really helpful, bringing drinking water and toilet rolls each day and offering fresh towels and cleaning. We liked how quiet the area was. Getting to the beach by Grab was easy, about 80-100 Bart each way by car or 40-50 Bart by motorbike. Coconut Bar next door is lovely, and the nearby restaurant and cooking school was amazing, with delivery to the villa too. Our two-bedroom villa was clean and nicely decorated, and the washing machine out back came in handy. The price felt fair. The pool was bigger than we expected, but the outdoor area needs attention: the walls need repainting, the furniture replacing, and the rusty stairs to the roof terrace felt dangerous. One set of sliding doors wouldn’t lock. We told staff, but they said it was fine because they were in the office next door, so we kept our valuables with us. The sofa bed would be very uncomfortable for two because of the wooden supports. One person in our group managed using the lower section and a footstool at the end. The bedding provided for it didn’t fit.

We were extremely disappointed with what we got for the price. The villa felt run down, with peeling walls inside and out, and mold on some of them. Ants were in the kitchen, the pool had bugs, and the kitchen utensils were old and dirty. We had to wash and boil them before using them. The outside garbage stayed full for two days near the end of our stay. There weren’t enough soaps, shampoo or conditioner, and the air conditioner had a lot of technical problems. The house is directly below a giant antenna. The staff were kind and room service was the one good part. They helped us with everything we needed, including towels, motorcycles and cleaning up the ants. On checkout day, someone woke us three hours before checkout to ask when we were leaving. I can’t recommend staying here.

Both bedrooms are clean and have their own bathrooms. The place has what you need to cook for yourself, and there’s a pullout sofa where two more people could sleep, which makes the stay very cheap. They also have an Android box with Netflix already logged in. We loved our stay. Some of the one-star reviews seem ridiculous given the price, accommodation and location.

We checked out the next morning and weren’t offered a refund. I’d say skip this place, especially if you have kids. It doesn’t look like the listing photos and felt run down and grubby. The pool lights didn’t work, so the villa and secluded road were very dark. My son came out of the pool with his blue shorts turned brown. I can’t know whether the pool’s chlorine and pH were checked, but it seemed they might not have been. My daughter developed an ear infection two days later, though I can’t say for sure there was a connection. The doors didn’t close or lock fully, and mosquitoes could get in. There’s nothing within walking distance, and the road into Aonang isn’t walkable. We arrived to cigarette butts around the pool and beer bottles left by previous guests. There was no safe in the villa either.
