Clean guesthouse, with comfortable, large beds and everything working properly. I had no real issues. Just know this isn't a full blown hotel. The door locking with a padlock might bother some people, but it suited the vibe here and didn't cause me any problems.

We really liked the quiet double room on the ground floor at Heuan Pak dee. It had pleasant decoration, and we made good use of the outdoor area in front of the rooms. The location was convenient, so I can recommend staying here. The room doesn't get properly dark at night, though, and the lighting is too weak. Better lights in the room would be a welcome improvement.

The location is great and the people are friendly, but I came away with a different opinion from many other guests. The room was nicely decorated, yet very dingy, with only dim, very white lights and dim table lamps, so I couldn't get it bright at all. Light also came in from outside because the small upper window over the door couldn't be closed. The internet kept cutting out, and I got a ton of bug bites in the room, which has never happened to me before in Chiang mai.

My room was dirty everywhere, and they never cleaned it or the restroom, just replaced the towel. The walls are thin wood, so you can hear everything from everywhere, even doors opening and closing. The water smelled really bad and seemed dirty. I don't think this hotel uses city water, and I believe the dirty water could make you sick. I can't recommend staying here until the water is clean. It will ruin your stay.
