KG Private Pool Villas

We booked the unit for our family over Chinese New Year. The place wasn’t well maintained: there was dust in the corners and all over the TV rack, the living room air conditioner wasn’t cold, and the electric stove had a problem, so we had to ask for butane gas for the mini stove. The gate lock was broken and wouldn’t secure the entrance. At 9pm on the second night, a tourist with their family suddenly opened our gate looking for the lobby to check in. I gave them the staff’s number to call. It felt dangerous, as a thief could break in. One bedroom’s air conditioner showed “EC” at check-in. A woman on staff came to look but didn’t call a technician. Somehow she got it working again, but it still wasn’t cold even when I set it to 17 degrees. Then at 4am on the second night, it shut off and showed “EC” again. I couldn’t sleep in the room despite having paid for the stay. The staff only replied “sorry” and offered no compensation.

They did provide enough towels. That’s about the only good thing I can say. We stayed in the three-bedroom villa, and it was disgusting. Ants were everywhere, the kitchen was gross, and we didn’t want to touch anything. The poolside was dirty too, and the couches were really disgusting. The drying rack had mold on it, and the kitchen was filthy. There were too many mosquitoes. If that’s common, at least provide repellent. The bedding was dark, so I couldn’t tell how clean it was, and after seeing the kitchen I wasn’t sure I wanted to know. The location is a bit far from the beach, but that part’s on us. The photos DO NOT show the villa as it is now. It’s much older.

The owners and staff were so welcoming, and we had a lovely stay with the family. There’s a private pool, two bedrooms, a living room, Wi-Fi and a dining table, plus a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. It had everything we needed. ❤️ A couple of things to keep in mind: our shower pressure was a little low, and there aren’t restaurants nearby. Food and groceries can be ordered through Foodpanda, lineman or 7-11. Thanks for the warm service and the discount 😅🥰 We’d happily come back.

A simple villa, but a very good one. The location is the highlight, with the beach and the main road’s restaurants and shops just a short scooter ride away. The staff were great, especially Nancy, who arranged bikes and taxis for us. That was a big help.
