The rest was okay, but it was super noisy. There were hairs in the shower. I asked for a hair dryer, but they didn't provide one.

The air conditioning worked well, but that was about the only good thing. This was such a miserable stay that I wanted to give up on Chiang Mai, my next stop, and just go back to Korea. I usually don't score hotels harshly when I'm traveling cheaply, but this place was awful. When I arrived around 1 p.m., there was just a desk in the lobby and nobody there. I called the number on the wall and was told to wait. Someone finally appeared at reception at 2, when check-in started. After that, over the next three days, I never saw anyone except the cleaner. At checkout I had to call too, and someone came about ten minutes later. The view from my room was just a mass of power lines, not a city or road view. The faucet was broken and kept turning, but when I asked to change rooms, they flatly said there were none available. One time I came back and the entrance door was locked. I called to ask how to open it and was told to wait. Then someone from the fruit shop next door came over, annoyed, and said to use the card attached to the room key. Nobody had explained this at check-in, and it looked like the kind of card you put in a hotel room, so I hadn't thought it was relevant. Worst of all, I got bed bug bites. I was so itchy that I barely slept during my three nights there. At first I thought mosquitoes or ants had bitten me, so I bought repellent at a convenience store and used bite cream. At the next hotel I was still itching badly, and they told me the marks looked like bed bug bites. I had to shake out and wash my suitcase and bags, then leave them in the sun. I'd never had bed bug bites before, and getting them in Ao Nang was miserable. If I'd known sooner, I would've asked for a refund and left right away. Even one star feels too generous.

The rooms face a very busy, noisy road, and getting up to the hotel is practically a climb. The toilet clogged almost every day, and when we tried to complain, they laughed in our faces. We were told to take complaints to a nearby massage parlor, which was unbelievable. Basic things were missing too, including a receptionist we never saw and water for washing. Highly recommended!!!!!!
