The balcony views were lovely, and most days the pool was peaceful. We spent Christmas week here, and my partner, my parents and I all had a great time. There were monkeys around, and enormous fish in the lake by the chalets that we could feed. Using the hotel's kayaks for free was a lot of fun too. The staff were friendly and quick to help. We asked reception for an iron and they brought one straight away. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The only little issue was the shower, the water wasn't very hot, and its slightly broken handle sometimes came off. There's a hotel shuttle into town several times a day, which made getting around easy. Grab taxis are inexpensive too, and the drive into town is about 10 minutes. An elephant sanctuary right next door made for a great morning. Room service was tasty. Breakfast could have been better, though there was an omelette station and cereal, so for the price it was fine. I'd definitely stay again.

The food and drinks were fresh and full of flavor, and the beach was nearby and easy to get to. Poonsiri Resort Aonang has lovely, peaceful surroundings that made it easy to relax. We also saw lots of sweet little monkeys around, which made the visit feel extra special. I'd highly recommend it for a memorable stay in Aonang.

I wouldn't swap this stay for somewhere in the Ao Nang Beach area. The setting is secluded and a bit wild, with incredible scenery, even though it's far from Ao Nang Beach. We had spacious rooms with extra amenities, and housekeeping came every day. They also refilled the bottled water, one bottle per person. The pool was clean and cared for, with comfortable loungers, and there was a restaurant and bar on site. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from, and the menu changed daily. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Ao Nang Land Market from 9:00 AM, every two hours. You can also rent scooters or bicycles there. Around 500 meters away is an elephant sanctuary, where you can buy tickets at the entrance and visit on your own. Highly recommended, 5⭐. If you're lucky, friendly monkeys might appear from your balcony, a lovely way to see them in their natural habitat.

The room was very nice and the staff were friendly, but there was so much noise around the pool. Kids and families were shouting across it, and on our last holiday day my wife and I just wanted to relax. Instead, a big group had children fighting and screaming. This place may suit families who don't mind that kind of public behavior. I wish it were addressed so other guests could have a more peaceful time.

A highlight was Room 101, where we could clearly see elephants bathing in the nearby river. We also spotted cheeky monkeys around the resort. Poonsiri Resort made our holiday in Krabi wonderful, and we'd gladly recommend it for a beautiful, relaxing stay. The resort sits around picturesque lakes, with the pool set against the Thai mountains. Both the lakeside setting and the clean, attractive pool area were so tranquil. Staff were warm, smiling and ready to help throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and carefully looked after, with daily cleaning keeping it fresh and spotless. The food was delicious too.
