The Lazy Bar And Guesthouse

We had to leave two nights before our planned checkout after the host became aggressive and came at one of us with a broom. We'd only explained that we'd paid in full. He had taken our receipt, which showed the payment, out of our hands and put it in his pocket. We got no compensation or refund for those last two nights, despite the police's efforts. Police became involved, and when they arrived he had put on a shirt, which made him look a bit more professional. There was verbal harassment throughout our stay. Later, we heard stories from other people about the host being a terrible person. He kept pressuring us to drink his alcohol. He was high as a kite, so who knows how he bartends. We read the room, felt the vibe, and politely said no. One night he was stretching and doing push-ups with his bare feet on some of the tables, which was pretty unhygienic. When I arrived alone, he yelled at me for walking upstairs in sandals. I hadn't known he wanted shoes off. That's fair, but he could simply have asked instead of yelling and acting aggressively. He'd also accuse us of breaking the air conditioning by pressing the button too hard, when it was actually broken. He was always high, aggressive, and unpredictable, especially when you were alone. The bathroom had cigarettes, mary jane buds, and tissues in the sink and on the floor when we arrived. The sheets smelled like they probably weren't clean. Do not stay here.

The host was nice, though he'd had a hard time with other guests. I enjoyed my time here. Good room and great location. Overall, a good place I'd recommend to backpackers.

We were the only guests, and still had to ask Bob to turn the music off at midnight. Staying in his home felt like walking on eggshells. He gave us an almost empty bottle when we asked for soap or toilet paper, which hadn't been provided. He kept asking us to pay in advance for more nights, so we left. A horrible experience, though in a twisted way, also kind of comical. I really don't recommend it. Bob is horrible vibes. Stay away.

I had a good time here, though I'm not staying.
