Aonang Oscar Pool Villas

Everyone was punctual, with no delays, and Mr.Monton was a careful, patient driver who handled our luggage kindly. Jeab was a great help in the last days, answering all my questions and sharing lots of useful information. Ms.Pop at reception was also kind and helped arrange everything during our stay. The whole team made our family vacation at Oscar Villa Aonang so enjoyable. It’s spacious, clean, convenient for a big family, and equipped with what we needed for a longer stay. It’s not right by the beach, so we needed a car for each trip, though there was a free shuttle there and a cheap hotel shuttle back. The distance also kept the nighttime noise away, which we liked. We really enjoyed staying here. The room was good, and we made good use of the private pool. Things weren’t perfect, but staff were always ready to help. Service was especially good, and Jeab kindly answered all our questions and requests at any time of day.

The place has a decent location and a functional setup, though it feels dated. It might be fine for a short stay if you’re not too picky, but I wouldn’t choose it for the 2-3 month rental we were seeking. The online photos made it look much newer and fresher than it was in person. To me, it felt more like a dressed-up hostel than a modern apartment and needs updates and care. I probably wouldn’t return for a long stay, though I might consider a short visit if there were no other options.

The staff were all kind, and staying there with a group was good. Still, I would choose somewhere else next time. Aonang Oscar Pool Villa is very isolated, with nothing within walking distance. You need a car or the villa shuttle, which costs 200 THB each way and adds up if you go out more than once a day. The photos make the villa look better than the actual experience, and the pool was very dirty. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and I left with ongoing back pain. Sleeping was difficult. It only makes sense if you have your own transport, and perhaps a mattress topper.
