P.U. Inn Resort

The sunset river trip included boat travel, two modern temples, and one ancient temple on the combo ticket. The staff were a bit pushy about the tour, but it turned out to be a good outing for the kids. Breakfast was great, and the swimming pool was nice. For the price, everything was very fair. Ask for a room on the second floor to get a view of the pool on one side and a nice view at the back.

The owner was very present, perhaps a little too present, but she was also really helpful. As soon as we arrived, she put together a one-day plan covering the city’s highlights and arranged a ride to the airport, which was a nice service. The rooms were simple but pleasant. The bathroom is quite old and could use renovation. The pool was really nice.

Several bars and restaurants are an easy walk away, the neighborhood felt safe at night, and the staff were very good. Access is via a cul-de-sac, though the road in is narrow because cars park along it. We were disappointed with the room for what it cost. The pool suited the strong swimmers in our group, but was too deep throughout for those who weren’t confident swimmers. There was construction at the hotel, which wasn’t too noisy, but the neighboring plot’s work was very loud during the day and would interrupt an afternoon nap.

The kids had a great time in the pool, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were warm and helpful, and the whole area has a fabulous atmosphere. A great place to stay.
