XPAI Guesthouse

The front desk lady was very nice, and it's a pleasant enough place to stay. We were in room 4, where the shower wouldn't stay attached to the wall and flooded the bathroom every time. There were also loads of ants around, though I guess that's part of the location. You'll need to rent a bike here, since it's too far to walk to the center.

The best part for me was the little hangout area above the pool, where we played cards in the evening and had a good time. The pool was nice and the bathrooms decent. It's a cosy hostel with small but clean rooms. We stayed in a six-bed dorm, which was really cramped, but manageable.

The room was really clean and nicely decorated, and the pool was a bonus. The woman at reception was cool, funny, and helpful. The main drawback is the location, about 3 km from the walking street, so I'd definitely suggest renting a motorbike if you can. Taxis are scarce, especially at night, which can make things tricky. There's a small bar at the hostel, but it closes around 9, so after that you'll need your own backup or head into town. Highly recommend, especially if you have a bike.

The room was clean and acceptable, and the air conditioning worked well. The water wasn't clear, and breakfast was below standard, with old watermelon and fermented pineapple. All in all, the experience was okay.
