Purimas Beach Hotel Rayong

We ate dinner at the hotel every night because the food was excellent and reasonably priced, and Mr Moo took great care of us as our waiter. The breakfast was very good, though not outstanding, with enough options for Western guests but more emphasis on Asian food. We loved Purimas. Our room was large and well furnished, and the seating area made it easier to relax. The pool and beach are beautiful. You’ll need a car to stay here.

There’s a nice pool, fitness facility, sauna, and wellness area, and the hotel is near the beach. The entrance looks great, and staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though not fully clean. The bathrooms are old and look undressed.

The rooms were dirty and full of insects, and the garden and beach felt impossible to walk or sit in, with reptiles, mosquitoes, bugs, worms, and more around. Service was very poor. The hotel seemed abandoned, empty, and like a ghost hotel. Gym equipment was rusty and rotten, covered in dirt, cobwebs, cockroaches, and insects. Around a garden tree, several female dolls about the size of real people were tied to it with chains and ropes. They had sharp things like nails stuck in their bodies, apparently to cast a spell on someone or people, and a fence had been built around them so nobody could get close. Horrible, the worst hotel stay I’ve had.

Even over New Year weekend, the older resort stayed quiet. The room amenities all worked, and the setting was good for unwinding and relaxing. Good value.
