We felt right at home in the Mon-side neighborhood, with little general stores nearby. The owners were lovely and helped us arrange a motorbike rental. From the top-floor balcony, you get a terrific view of the river, Mon Bridge, and Red Bridge, and it’s a great spot to sit and unwind. The modern room was comfortable, with a good bed, air conditioning, a fridge, a kettle available on request, and a nice bathroom with a hot shower. After looking around, I’d say this is the best place to stay near the river. We’ll definitely come back if we return.

We just showed up without a booking and could choose from rooms at different prices. We picked the best room for its view, and our host was wonderful and made the stay very pleasant.

The boat noise was really loud, and the place felt overpriced. Still, the top-floor view of the bridge is impressive, and the interior is cute with a contemporary design. The beds are solid, though the mattresses felt a little soft.

The restaurant was terrible, and the prices made no sense. The owner, an old lady, didn’t treat me with respect. She tried to sell me on her boat trip and put down the other options. Also, don’t book the Thai traditional room beside the hotel unless you’re fine getting up at 4.00 AM, it’s very noisy. Cheers,
