Jstar Hotel

I was there for 29 days, and JStar Hotel left me very disappointed. The cleaning staff were friendly and tried their best, but management was poor. There are only two free room cleanings, then they charge for each one. They wanted 200 baht to change the bedsheets and also charged a cleaning fee at checkout. Even water use came with an extra charge, which I found unacceptable. Carrying luggage was difficult too, since there’s no elevator. The room had ants and other bugs, the bathroom kept smelling bad, and it had neither a hairdryer nor even basic soap. Wi-Fi barely worked. I changed rooms twice, but it was still weak, and the surrounding buildings also made mobile reception poor. The electricity bill came to 3,500 baht for just 29 days, an outrageous amount for normal use. At this price, I expected basic comfort, hygiene, and clear charges. JStar Hotel fell short on all of that, and I strongly wouldn’t recommend it for a long stay. It wasn’t worth the money.

The beach is nearby, but there’s construction around the hotel and it gets pretty noisy. There’s no lift, so be ready to use the stairs if you’re on an upper floor.

This time the bed was awful. I barely slept last night and woke up aching all over. My first stay here was okay, but this one wasn’t. 😔😔🤢

Good value for the money 💰. There are a lot of Russians around. The administrator was especially professional, supporting me promptly and helping sort out different situations. If you’re comfortable with this area, I recommend the hotel.
