Big Tree Residence Suvarnabhumi

I feel safe here, and the office staff are great about answering me quickly in English. It's also convenient for my workplace, though being closer to BTS or MRT would make the location excellent. For a longer stay, cable TV with some English news or movie channels would be nice and could make the place feel more international. A restaurant or mini mart would be good additions too. I'm very happy here as a long-term resident. Thanks for taking care of me and my family!

We stayed for a month while our kids attended TCIS summer camp. The rooms were clean, and the service was really good. When we asked for a light bulb to be changed, someone came right away. We'd like to stay here again.

The staff are a big reason I've been happy staying at Big Tree. Jinny even helped translate for me with a real estate agent on her own time, which really impressed me. The room costs a lot by Thai standards, but my large studio is spacious enough and quite nice. The place is being renovated, with plans for a pool, common area, restaurant, and possibly an extension to the small fitness room. I've been here a couple of months while looking for a rental house in Samut Prakarn. Some foreigners may find there isn't much to do nearby, though more adventurous people can have fun. Mega Bangna is a huge mall about 20 minutes away by motorcycle, with western restaurants, shopping, and movies. To get to Bangkok proper, you need a short taxi ride to the nearest BTS, which isn't too bad if you don't commute daily. My main issue is the mattress, which has metal springs and has left my back sore after a couple of months. If I stayed longer, I'd buy a mattress topper from the nearby Ikea. I suspect the staff might replace the mattress if I asked. The electricity rate is also high compared with average rates. Those are why I gave four stars. Otherwise, I'd recommend it to people staying in the area.

Once you get here, it's a quiet place to relax. The open-plan living space worked well for me, and the rooms are spacious, with a little kitchen area, sink, fridge, and microwave. The staff are lovely and friendly. There's a grassy outdoor area with a big green tree, a pool to cool off in, and its own laundry, which is a huge bonus. It's not a great location apart from being fairly close to the airport. Getting to shops and back is difficult because traffic is chaotic, and taxi drivers can't understand you, haha.
