Tonsak Resort

Deluxe Room 2 was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. I especially liked that the AC didn't blow straight at the bed. The resort had a lovely atmosphere, and the helpful staff and good amenities made my relaxing stay even better. It's right in the center but still very quiet, a hard location to beat. I was able to properly destress.

It's an older resort with recently renovated rooms, but there was mold in a lot of places: on the restaurant's overhead wood, in the room drawers and refrigerator, and on the restaurant pillows, among other spots. There was also a gasoline tank smell by the restaurant and rooms. The staff were helpful, and the location is very central, right in front of a really beautiful white sand beach.

I stopped by Tonsak Cafe by the beach. There were lots of seating options, the view was amazing, and both the food and drinks were really good.

Even after we spent over 2,000 baht on a meal for two, the staff weren't friendly. They grunted or sighed at simple requests, like moving the beach umbrella, and seemed very focused on getting tips. One man kept discouraging me from paying by card, even though they had card facilities. They also wanted payment before giving us bathroom access, then charged 100 baht for it, and the bathroom wasn't very clean. The wait staff were stand-offish even over basic requests.
