I arrived from Vietnam and suddenly realized I’d left one of my suitcases in Bangkok. That meant an unexpected stop before I could carry on with my trip. A quick transit turned into a stressful late-night scramble to get my luggage back. After a string of frustrating delays, my flight landed at BKK Airport at 01:34. I was exhausted, physically and mentally, and all I wanted was sleep. There was no way I could manage the long trip into central Bangkok, so I looked for the highest-rated place near the airport where I could rest for a few hours and deal with everything in the morning. That’s how I found Happy Home Hostel, and I couldn’t have chosen better. I jumped into a BOLT taxi and hoped the reviews about late-night hospitality and great service were true. About seven minutes later, I reached the hostel, rang the bell, and the door opened almost right away. The host was one of the friendliest people I’ve met in eight months of travelling around the world. He greeted me with a huge smile and a genuinely happy “Welcome to HAPPY HOME Hostel.” All the stress from the delays, my forgotten suitcase, and the long journey seemed to disappear. We laughed together for a few minutes, and even in the middle of the night I felt safe, welcome, and relaxed. That kindness from the very first moment was unforgettable. After we talked, he gave me an ice-cold bottle of water, which felt amazing after so many hours of travel. He also carried my second bag upstairs to Floor F2 and showed me to my room. Before we went up, he politely asked me to take off my shoes downstairs. I did, and immediately saw why. The place is unbelievably clean, truly spotless. The floors, walls, bathrooms, hallways, and rooms all shine. I’ve stayed in hotels, apartments, and resorts around the world over the past eight months, including many expensive five-star hotels. Honestly, some of them could come here to learn how to clean properly. The room exceeded what I expected. Its mattress was incredibly comfortable, and as soon as I lay down my whole body started to relax after that long, stressful day. The bedding was soft, fresh, and luxurious. There were two pillows to choose from, one soft and one firmer, just like I have at home in Norway haha. When you’re worn out from travelling, little things like that make a big difference. The hosts had also switched the air conditioning to full turbo mode. I showered in the sparkling-clean bathroom area, then came back to a perfectly cold room, exactly how I like it. Everything was peaceful, quiet, and comfortable, and I fell asleep in minutes. The comfort and cleanliness were great, and the location was convenient, but what impressed me most was how genuinely kind the people running the place were. Even at that hour, they welcomed me with warmth, patience, and smiles, as if an old friend had come home. That kind of hospitality can’t be taught, and as a traveller, you don’t forget it. A heartfelt thank you to the host for helping me in the middle of the night with such kindness, professionalism, and care, and letting me finally relax and sleep after a long journey. Warm regards, Rune H Oslo Norway 🇳🇴

The owners were friendly and very accommodating, and the hostel was spotless. It’s only 10 minutes from the airport by taxi, and they arranged the taxi for me. Highly recommend.

We were there for just four hours before heading back to the airport. The owners gave us an amazing welcome 🙏, and our room was very clean and already air-conditioned when we arrived. The shared toilets and showers were clean too. It’s very near the airport, about 10 minutes by taxi. I’d recommend it to anyone with a long layover or wait in Bangkok who doesn’t want to go far from the airport.

I arrived really late as a walk-in and had to leave at 4:30 in the morning. The owners were very kind and helped me with my luggage both when I arrived and when I left. The facilities are basic but very clean, and the hostel is close to the airport, about 10 minutes by car in the morning.

The host was so friendly and hospitable that I felt right at home. Thanks for looking after me! It’s only about a 15-minute drive from the airport, which makes it useful if you have an early flight and want to avoid city traffic.
