A lovely old house with the feeling of visiting a sweet aunt. It’s a relaxing spot just beyond Bangkok’s bustle. You can get a delicious home-cooked Thai breakfast in the morning if you want. Recommended!

I was so happy staying in this Thai Guesthouse, and I’d definitely return. The house is clean, with a lovely shady garden, and the staff are friendly and will help with anything. It felt peaceful and safe for travelling alone. Khaosan Road and The Grand Palace are nearby, and JJ market isn’t far. I recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.

Bangkok is busy, but this place feels calm and peaceful, like a home away from home. I slept eight hours for the first time on my trip. Breakfast was amazing. We chose the Thai breakfast, though you can pick between Thai and continental, and you can taste the love in the food. This deserves 10 stars, not just 5.

Funn, her mom, Tawan, and their century-old Thai teak house are a hidden gem. I only write reviews when a stay stands out. The house is tucked away in Dusit, close enough to the action but away from the same tourist-infested concrete jungle everyone else is in. It’s walkable to the water taxi and central to quaint Thai eateries and fantastic Thai massages. And I can’t forget Funn. She’s totally "fun" and embodies the "land of smiles." I need more of her mom’s cooking.

I’ve already come back to Samsen Heritage for a second stay in four months. It feels like home, and the mother and daughters who run the guest house are attentive and really listen. Tell them what you’d like for breakfast, and there’s a good chance you’ll get it.
