Amara Bangkok

We returned after two and a half years, and once again found the service perfect, the room clean, and everything we needed there. The view from the room was incredible. They also looked after our belongings while we were in the Philippines, which meant a lot. On our first visit, we stayed just one night and were given a much better room. That won us over, and the hotel has been one of our favorites ever since. We truly recommend it, and the location is perfect!😍

Aom and Sand were so kind, professional, and ready to help. Their service made our stay especially enjoyable and memorable. The hotel is modern and very clean, with spacious, well-kept rooms and a really comfortable bed. The rooftop pool has amazing views, and breakfast offered plenty of high-quality choices. Amara Bangkok is easy to get around from, yet feels calm and comfortable inside. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The carpet was the letdown here. There were stains, including one that looked like poop, which really undercut the high-end feel of the room. I’d ask to switch rooms if I stayed again. I chose the hotel for the view of the Mahanakhan building, and the rooftop infinity pool delivered. I’d happily come back for that, though I was told the pool shuts at 8pm, so I missed the chance to see it at night. The room itself was nice apart from the carpet. Breakfast had a good mix of Thai and international dishes. At around 900 baht it was pricey, so I made sure to eat enough to feel I’d got my money’s worth.

The bathroom in my upgraded suite was especially lovely, spacious and well kept, and the room itself was bright, clean, roomy and comfortable. Bathrobes and slippers were provided too. The building feels modern and luxurious, and the doorman was welcoming. Reception staff looked after me well throughout my stay at Amara Bangkok Hotel in the convenient Silom area. A cash deposit of 1000 THB is required at check-in. It’s returned when you check out, but it’s useful to know in advance and bring cash. I had two small frustrations: the refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly, and there was no minibar, so getting a cold drink meant going to a shop. Umbrellas for guests during rainy season would also be a useful addition. Even so, I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return for the friendly service, lovely rooms and atmosphere.
