We booked this place to get out of the New Year's booking chaos and would happily do that again for a night or two. The free water bottles and little bags of chips in the room felt thoughtful. Once they’re gone, staff quietly restock them on top of the mini fridge, and the cleaning staff were as friendly as everyone else. The resident cat is friendly too. There’s a dedicated smoking area, the place is pretty clean, and everything feels straightforward and welcoming. It isn’t a four-star hotel. It has a cosy, backpacker feel, and you get a great bed for a good price with incredibly friendly staff. Street traffic can get noisy, though. The AC sometimes grinds like an old fridge, suddenly blows very cold air for a few minutes, then lets the room warm up again. The shower also struggles to keep a steady temperature. We can’t speak for the other rooms, but if you want everything silent and consistent, that might bother you. A whole week here wouldn’t suit us, mainly because of the street noise and quirky AC. Gosh, this AC... If you’re young, enjoy the city’s energy, and want an affordable place to sleep off hangovers, it could be perfect. If you’re older and after luxury, steady comfort, and quiet, you might want to book just a short stay rather than your whole holiday.
