Avani Ratchada Bangkok Hotel

The bed was the comfiest I’ve had in Thailand, with a soft, plush feel, a nice comforter, and fluffy towels. The room had everything I needed, and the pool, Onsen, and gym were welcome extras. In the Executive lounge, breakfast and evening snacks were generous enough to count as dinner, with cocktails too. They also served a very light afternoon tea. I could have two pieces of clothing washed, and my dresses came back looking better than when I brought them to Bangkok. Broad and Nammoo were exceptional.

Breakfast was a highlight. The selection was modest, but the flavors were much better than at most 4-5 star hotels I know. The hotel isn’t in the city center, though MRT Rama 9 is right next door, and two malls plus a Lotus Supermarket are connected to the building. It’s a handy area when the city’s bustle and traffic feel like too much. We arrived early, and receptionist Laksi helped get us a room straight away so we could rest before going into town. She and the other staff were warm and helpful, with quick responses, friendly smiles, and useful tips about the neighborhood. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel to people visiting Bangkok. I’ll definitely come back.

I’m Thai, and my husband and I live in Germany. I sold my house in Bangkok, but whenever I visit, I choose this hotel again. As a local, I know which places offer quality that justifies their prices. The subway entrance is right in front, so it’s easy to get around and reach nearby places. The staff are polite, friendly, and truly kind. There’s also a black stray cat by the hotel’s MRT station, cared for by the security guards. To me, that says a lot about the kindness and compassion of the people here. I’d give the hotel 99 out of 100. My one small deduction is that there’s no luggage scale on the ground floor for guests to weigh their suitcases. In 2026 airlines are very strict about baggage weight, sometimes down to a few grams.

The hotel put on a New Year celebration in the lobby for guests, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. We stayed over the holiday and really enjoyed ourselves. Our Skyline Room had great city views, and the buffet breakfast offered plenty of choices. Staff were consistently kind, polite, and helpful. The pool on the 12th floor is a nice place to unwind. There aren’t many loungers, but even when it’s busy there are plenty of other seats. The onsite spa is a worthwhile extra too. The location worked well for us, with an MRT station just steps away, a mall across the street, lots of nearby restaurants, and Jodd Fairs night market within easy reach. We’d happily recommend Avani Ratchada for a Bangkok visit.
