BIP is beside Bangkok Stadium, with a lively, rather fanciful walking street behind it that’s popular with locals and university students. Prices there are very affordable. The service was superb and I had a great time. There’s sometimes tidal flooding after sunset, but that isn’t the hotel’s fault. For me, it was an 11/10 experience.

Onny and Locket made my first day so lovely. They were warm and friendly, gave me helpful tips on local food, and their positive energy during check-in had us all laughing. Every interaction felt sincere, which is rare these days. I really appreciated their effort and kindness.

We keep coming back here. The rooms are clean and nice, and breakfast is good. There’s a 7/11 right next door, though the hotel is a long way from the big malls, so factor in taxi fares when booking.

The room was dark, quiet, and comfortable, and the location worked well for me. Check-in was a good experience too. I still gave it five stars even though this isn’t really a five-star hotel: it feels old and needs a refurbishment, and even things like the air vents in the room were filthy.

On my first stay, there was a huge spider in the bathroom and dead flies in my bed. I switched to the room next door, but there were still flies there. They were kind enough to move me, but the whole thing was disgusting. Edit: I came back a second time because of a tour, and there were no bugs. This time, though, the bathroom already smelled strongly of dung as soon as we entered, before we’d used anything. The revolting smell was still lingering after the night.
