Banglumpoo Place

The rooms are large and the place is clean, with staff who are friendly enough. There’s off street parking, but tell them ahead if you’re bringing a car. An attendant packs the cars in very tightly. The balcony wasn’t usable, and there’s no shared sitting area.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. We booked through Airbnb, and on arrival the air conditioning didn’t work at all. A staff member tried to turn it on but couldn’t, so they moved us to another room, which was nice. There were water and several beers in the fridge with no signs saying anything cost money, so we assumed they were free and drank two beers. At checkout, the owner said we’d had four and owed 200 baht. We’d only had two, and there’d been no indication they were paid. After spending eight hours in 35 degree heat without air conditioning, I thought the two beers might be overlooked. I offered to pay for the ones we drank, but the owner then left a terrible Airbnb review saying we threw cans off the balcony, which is completely false, and that we refused to pay.

The place has a clean feel, but booking at the time of your stay is expensive, even when plenty of apartments are empty. There’s no breakfast or coffee service. They also charge for bottled water from the fridge. I thought it came with the stay, so why put it there? Haha, no mercy.

For the price and location, I had some doubts, but it turned out to be a good deal. Simple and clean, with friendly staff, a nice ensuite, hot water, a decent bed and chairs, and a small balcony. They’ve added a coat rack with hangers and a couple of wall hooks.
