There’s amazing food nearby, and the shared bathrooms were very clean. Two showers and two toilets per floor were enough. At Banthat Thong hostel, the rooms are big and clean, and the bed is hard but comfortable ebough. The staff weren’t around much, though they usually weren’t needed. The common area is basic and looks better in the photos.

The owner is unfriendly, and the rules are ridiculously strict. There are no windows in the room. The industrial luggage elevator makes an insane amount of noise and woke me every morning. There was no hot water, and the shower in the washroom made a mess most of the time. I almost slipped twice. Toilet paper wasn’t restocked for two days.

We liked the rooms enough to add one more night at the end of our trip. They were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We got lucky when other guests arrived around 9:15 PM, since reception closes at 8. They helped us reach the staff, who managed to arrange a room for us.

Such a lovely little gem, with a great location and really friendly staff. The street next door has been voted the 14th coolest in the world, and it is definitely cool, with loads of food and drink to choose from. We stayed over NY and were given treats ❤️

The hostel was very clean and smelled nice, and it’s close to the parks. The staff were super friendly and kindly let us stay even though we arrived after reception had closed and hadn’t booked ahead. We recommend it!
