Bed by Tha-Pra

The windows were sealed shut in our room and my friends' room too, so neither could be opened. Our room door was faulty and the key card wouldn’t work. After I told them, they moved us to an even worse room, and that room had a broken door to the toilet as well. Breakfast was poor. The other eggs were raw, and when I asked for an omelet they refused. The coffee machine was broken, leaving only cold milk and no coffee or tea, and nobody did anything to fix it. The bellboy was rude too.

The room felt new and was clean, and the Wi-Fi was very good. There was a Smart TV with Netflix. Service was great: the bellboy helped us get a taxi in the rain, and the cleaning ladies were friendly and brought extra towels when we asked.

It’s an older building, but the renovated interior looks good. The location is handy, close to the MRT, and the staff are helpful. Food was so-so: corn flakes with milk, toast, orange juice, salad, and three or four dishes. The bathroom has a bidet but no toilet tissue or exhaust fan. There’s nowhere to hang clothes, just a towel rack.

Feels like a motel for people whose family or friends live nearby and can’t put them up. Still, it’s close to the MRT station and convenience stores.
