The Massaman curry with roti was the highlight for me: rich, fragrant, and full of flavor. There was plenty of tender, lean meat, and the roti was just right for picking up the sauce. The restaurant has a warm, homey interior, with décor that adds to that comfortable feel. Bharani has been on Sukhumvit Road since 1949. It started as one of Bangkok's early places serving Western dishes adapted to local tastes, and now the menu brings Thai and international comfort food together. A simple, satisfying place to eat if you're nearby and want something cozy.

The shrimp Pad Thai had a sweetness I really liked, and the spring rolls were crisp. We also enjoyed the rich-tasting Chinese sausage fried rice. The restaurant had a nice vibe, and both the food and service were excellent.

That Massaman curry was incredible, and the meat had absolutely no fat. The beef seemed to be top quality, and you could taste it. Huge credit to the owners for not cutting corners on the meat. I highly recommend this place.

We stopped in for dinner on the way home after a busy Sunday. We were the only diners there, but the restaurant had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with an antique European feel. The Pad Thai was one of the best I've had in Bangkok so far, and the prices were great. Our food arrived really quickly, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We'll definitely come back.
