Boss Suites Nana Hotel

The staff were kind and accommodating, and my room had nice big windows. It was also close to Benjakitti Park, great for running, though being near the Nana district and all its pubs can make things busy. There was a strange smell each time I went in, and the AC took a while to get going. I think it might be mold. The hot shower also didn't work properly sometimes.

The air conditioning never cooled the room enough, even with the dial set to 16. There was also a nauseating chemical-cleaner smell throughout the hotel, and after less than an hour I had to check out because I was so uncomfortable. The hotel is Indian-run, with Indian staff and decor, including Muslim prayer carpets in the room. It seemed like a good deal, but I should have looked more carefully at the location. It really wasn't.

The shower had mold and a rusty exposed screw sticking out, and there were stains on the sheets. The mattress on the overnight train to chiangmai was more comfortable, I think. The whole hotel also had a faint Axe body spray kind of smell. Though the location wasn't bad and it was fairly quiet, I wouldn't stay again. I don't mind a dated or simple room if it's clean and comfortable, and this wasn't. Better places are worth the money, even when this one looks like a deal.

The rooms were roomy, tidy and comfortable, and the hotel was clean and well looked after. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and staff dealt with requests quickly. They were polite, professional and ready to help throughout. I had a very good stay at Zow, with nice comfort and value. I'd choose Zow again and recommend it for an easy, relaxing visit.
