Centre Point Sukhumvit Thong Lo

We ended up leaving just a few hours after changing rooms because the problems got worse. The hotel still hasn’t refunded us, even though we had to abandon the stay. Paying more than HKD2600 for a holiday that felt like torture in a haunted room is unbelievable. There was noise from several places: clubs downstairs went on all night, other rooms’ doors kept opening and closing, and a strange knocking sound came from the window, ceiling, wall, or door every 10-20 minutes as we tried to fall asleep. The shower temperature also changed by itself about every five seconds. Staff weren’t helpful. On the phone, they said only that they couldn’t refund us, then hung up. Worst hotel in Bangkok. The pictures made it look much better than it really was.

We always have an amazing stay here. The location is ideal in the heart of thonglor, and it’s a nice walk to the BTS. The pool and gym are good, and breakfast is commendable too. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond at Christmas events and other times. A special shout-out to the shuttle driver, who’s always sweet and ready to help.

The location was great for the two weeks I stayed, but a few things could be better. The coffee quality was quite poor and needs an upgrade. Reception staff seemed stressed and unfriendly, so their working environment needs attention. Soundproofing is also weak, and it would be a thoughtful touch to provide guests with earplugs.

I was in room 315, and the noise insulation was lousy. If you’re paying for breakfast, go to the five-star hotel in the next building, where it’s much better. The lobby does have drinks and refreshments, and there’s a pharmacy right in front. It’s a two-minute walk to 7-11.
