Cloud 9 Lodge

I paid USD 160 for a very poor stay in Room 614. There was a serious leak, and my belongings got wet. The room wasn’t clean, and I worry that staying in these conditions could make you sick. The sound insulation was awful, so resting was difficult. Other reviews on different platforms don’t reflect what I found, and for the same price you can find much better rooms elsewhere. The lodge is down an alley, which also made it feel unfriendly for solo travelers. I should have asked for a refund. I strongly don’t recommend this room.

The location is superb, just 50 m from Pratunam market, near Rachaprarop ARL and Ratchachewi BTS. The staff really set this budget hotel apart, especially the welcoming, friendly, approachable woman who greeted me. The service was great, and there’s a simple breakfast available. The building is a bit old, as you’d expect at this price, and the comfort room had a slight unpleasant smell, maybe because of its age. There’s a 500 Baht security deposit that you get back after checkout. I had a good stay and would return.

It was hard to find the hotel at first. Use Yok Zod noodle shop as the reference point and go into the alley beside it, next to PratuNam 19 hotel. Once you’re there, the location is strategic, with Pratunam Morning Market right outside the door. My room was clean, and the toiletries were all there except for toothpaste and a toothbrush. The receptionist was pretty and friendly.

The staff were great and the hotel is close to Pratunam’s markets. The rooms are small and not very spacious.
