COMO Metropolitan Bangkok

Como Metropolitian Bangkok felt like a calm oasis in a busy city. I booked the Metropolitan room because it was the least expensive refurbished category, and it was gorgeous. The neutral colours felt calming, the bed was soft, the bathroom was generous, and the fittings were thoughtfully chosen. The hotel seemed to be operating at about 50% capacity, and most of the time I felt like the only guest. I saw other guests at breakfast or the spa. The Como massage was lovely, and I came away feeling relaxed. Service was on point throughout. The staff were attentive without hovering, polite and efficient, and always ready to help. Breakfast quality was great, but the setting was a sterile banquet room with low ceilings and no natural light. They tried to brighten it up, but there’s only so much you can do without windows. I also got mixed messages about ordering mains: one server said I could have only one, while another, on a different day, suggested I order a second if I was hungry. A great place to spend a few quiet days in bangkok. I’d return.

The room was modern, roomy, and comfortable, and I really enjoyed being there. Breakfast was among the best I’ve had, and everyone on staff made me feel welcome. I’d gladly recommend this hotel and hope to come back.

For my first visit to Bangkok, this hotel was handy for shopping and other amenities. It was also kept in great shape, and the staff were consistently cheerful, friendly, and welcoming. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The pool was beautiful, the bed was excellent, and the sheets and towels were great quality. What stood out most, though, was how well the staff treated us. They were friendly and efficient, helped with bookings and a car, and even offered massages. Breakfast had plenty of choice and our stay was excellent. I didn’t care for the impersonal rooms or the unwelcoming breakfast area, but that’s just not my taste. The rest was great.
