The price is reasonable for a place to stay in Udon Thani, but the towels are very old and don’t dry you properly, and the blankets are thin. There’s also a very strong cigarette smell in the room corner and hallway.

At 399 THB/night, this little mansion in Udon Thani has the basics covered: air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, and hot water. It was clean, quiet, and peaceful, and the owner was cheerful and friendly.

The linen looked old and unclean. Staff were talking loudly from early morning and didn’t seem to consider the guests.

Coffee and hot water are set out downstairs, and the room itself comes with a refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, and hot water, handy for travelers. It’s good value and the room is new, though the bedding looks old and the towels feel stiff, probably from being washed so often, so they ought to be replaced. The outside looks aged, and the alley to the room is quite narrow.

It looked nothing like the photos. There was dust everywhere, even on the sheets, and the blankets were stained and moldy. I was scared all night! 😂
