Cross Vibe Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel

We booked the two-person staycation package through Hungry Hub and went with my partner. Dinner was our favorite meal, and the portions were generous enough that we almost couldn’t finish everything. We enjoyed the live music, with songs from the 80s and 90s, and all three meals each day were delicious. There’s also an onsen in the pool-area bathroom, which was a great extra. Parking was convenient, the atmosphere was excellent, and the cheerful staff gave great service. The price felt reasonable for what we got, and we’d definitely come back. At check-in, staff told us they’d upgraded our standard room to a larger room in a higher category with twin beds, though we’d initially been told twin rooms were fully booked. The welcome drink was refreshing. Most of the welcome snacks were fine, though the apple and banana were a little underripe. The bakery items were excellent, and the two glasses of wine included in the package were a nice touch. At first the air conditioner wasn’t cooling properly, and there was a drain smell in the bathroom. We reported both issues to the front desk, and they dealt with them quickly and prepared a backup room too. We were very satisfied with how sincere and efficient the staff were in sorting things out.

The staff made the experience. They were welcoming every time and tried hard to make us feel at ease. The bar and restaurant were good, though a little expensive compared with street food, and they’re a safe option. The spa, Japanese hot bath, and gym were fantastic. My wife and I had a 60-minute massage before leaving, one of the best I’ve had, and I get around 40 remedial massages a year in different places. The hotel’s on the main BTS line into the city, about five minutes from the BTS, and two minutes from a well-stocked 711. Burger King is about five minutes away. Make sure you get the all-day HoHo card for 150Bht. The room was a solid three-star room, with cool AC and a comfortable double bed. The bathroom was clean but mouldy. I understand how hard it is to keep mould away in Southeast Asia, with a wet wet season and a humid dry season, but our room 2506 needed freshening up. The shower was cold or lukewarm at best for most of our stay. It was bearable in the heat, and staff tried to fix the water, though I think there was a bigger issue. The room itself was average, but I’m sure fine by local standards. The hotel feels like a solid three-star place carried by its staff, bar, restaurant, and facilities.

The room was a great size for an affordable price, and the staff were lovely. Getting to public transport was easy, and 7 eleven and places to eat were within walking distance. The room was very clean apart from the bathroom, which smelled bad our whole stay, probably because of poor ventilation. There was orange mould in the shower when we arrived.

The location was peaceful, but still close to the city center and public transport. I liked the little touches, including the nice scent in the lobby and the high-quality toiletries. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had lots of options. The room was clean and spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a really comfortable bed. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommended for comfort and great hospitality.
