Drop Inn Bangkok

They claim to offer car parking, but there are only three on-street spaces, and they’re suitable for small cars. We waited half an hour for one. Once parked, our car blocked half the connecting street. Avoid this place if you need decent parking.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the room and facilities made the stay disappointing. On arrival, 17th Sept, the bath was dirty; even after asking twice, it was never cleaned. Cockroaches showed up on the third night, and there was a hole in the ceiling above the closet. The water was shut off for a day, too. When I reported it, reception casually said the evening staff had forgotten to turn it back on. I had to wait 4-5 hours to shower in the Bangkok heat. Good staff, but cleanliness, pests, maintenance, and unreliable water were all problems.

The room was fine for sleeping, but it wasn’t the one I booked. I’d reserved a 25 sq m superior room and got the smallest option instead, at 20 sq m. It was at the back, facing a wall, with lots of outdoor units installed nearby whose motor noise was bothersome. The room also felt very old-fashioned.

Good price, super clean room, and mine was really quiet. The bed was very comfy, and the receptionist was super nice. Great location too, just a five-minute walk to Asok BTS. I’ll be back.
