Excel Hotel Bangkok

The staff were responsive and helpful whenever I had questions, and the location is convenient for major attractions. Still, the room was in extremely poor shape, with low water pressure and noticeable stains throughout. The hotel is being renovated, but while some rooms are finished, others are still in very bad condition. There are definitely better choices in the area.

We were quite satisfied with the stay until checkout, when 200 Baht was taken from our deposit because of black marks on the sheet. I saw those marks that morning and am 100% sure we didn’t cause them. We hadn’t put anything on the bed, never wore shoes in it, and we’re not that dirty. The whole hotel is under renovation, and the stairwell is really dirty, so it’s almost laughable they’d deduct money from the deposit. It’s not about the 200 baht itself. This feels outrageous. If the room is being offered too cheaply, they should raise the price a little instead of ripping off guests. I’m not a tourist, I live here in Thailand, and I’m asking the manager not to post a stupid, meaningless, lying response.

The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Getting to places from here was easy. The customer service was excellent.

We stayed in a renovated room, and it was perfect. The renovations look great, and even while work was going on, everything was perfectly fine. We can see what they’re aiming for and can’t wait to come back.
