The downstairs common area was great for meeting other travellers, with a bar and reasonably priced food. Laundry was affordable too. The staff work hard to make you feel at home and help with questions or finding things to do. Yo is especially worth talking to, he knows the area really well and is a great person to ask for help. Thanks again, Yo, for making the stay feel like home. I’m looking forward to booking here again, and hope Matt will give me the same rate when this place gets more popular ;-) The hostel is a few minutes down the street from BTS Nana, handy if you want to take the train instead of dealing with the infamous tuk tuk drivers. Beds are cleaned daily, the AC works, and a key dongle gets you into the building so strangers can’t come in. There are lockers, but bring your own lock. I felt very safe both inside and outside, despite what another review said about the area being dangerous. I also enjoyed the range of things to do and see nearby. Just remember this is a hostel, not a hotel. For the price, it offers a lot.

Breakfast here is pretty expensive, but there are street food options nearby and a 7/11 close by. The rooms are clean and have small lockers for valuables. The location is handy, right by the SkyTrain and just a few stops from the central station.

The location is decent, but the rooms aren’t very clean and the toilets are worse. A cockroach jumped out of the pillows while I was sitting on the couch, and early one morning I saw some locals sleeping on the common area floor. The worst part came when I checked out: on my room floor was a sheet listing sights and things to do in town, with a photocopy of my passport on the other side. It looked like they’d given my passport copy to another guest as scrap paper. That’s a huge security breach. I was really upset when I showed it to reception, but they didn’t seem concerned.

Cheap, clean, and comfortable, and close to the subway. I was impressed to see a light and outlet right in front of every bed. Even on a bunk, you can charge your phone without worrying, lol.
