GO INN Khaosan

Our room was on the 4th floor, facing away from the main road, and it was quiet and clean, though basic. There was a window facing the back alley. Check-in was straightforward, with the door and key code sent by email. It's perfect for backpackers, just don't expect a 5 star hotel.

For a short stop of one or two days, this is a convenient, budget-friendly choice in a great location. My first stay at Go Inn Khao San Road went smoothly, and the self-check-in system was new and interesting to me. You get what you pay for, though: there’s no reception staff to help if anything goes wrong, and no room cleaning service. The location really is great.

The owner lady is nice and the room is okay, but room service wasn't very good. If you're travelling light and just need somewhere to sleep, it works. Don't expect much else, since most of the time you're taking care of things yourself.

I know you get what you pay for, but I didn't expect this kind of scam. I spent a whole night without sleeping and left, with no refund. I understand the booking was non-refundable, but after all these problems there wasn't one kind gesture from management. I moved to much nicer hotels with better staff attitudes for the same price I paid at this crap place. Thanks for the experience, including the spooky moment. The room itself was big enough for two, with two single beds, and I was okay with being put on the 4th floor without a lift. But it was right beside the main road and extremely noisy. The bathroom was worn down, and the toilet wouldn't flush unless you lifted the lid and pushed it manually. I reported it; the staff said okay the next morning, did nothing, and said three other rooms had the same problem. The bed looked fine until I opened the blanket and found sand and dirt. The pillowcase was stained, and the pillow was flat and seemed to have ruined foam, as if it had been washed. Staff didn't seem to care or respond.
