The hotel is a little aged, but well maintained, with the range of facilities you'd expect. It's in a busy part of the city, which gave me good transport links for getting around during my ten-day stay for an offsite event. The pool was noisy because of construction next door. That couldn't be helped, and the pool staff were attentive and did their best to make things comfortable. I also had an odour problem in my room partway through the stay. Staff came to work on it while I was out for the day, but unfortunately the smell remained. They offered a room change, and when I asked for it, a team arrived at my door within minutes to move us. The general manager introduced himself and many of his senior team early in my stay. Even before that, the welcome from concierge through reception was impeccable. I can't fault the staff. Jon in particular and his senior managers were amazing and deserve a lot of praise.

Praew, Dream, Earth, Eyety, Natty, and Luk made our stay feel especially welcoming. They were friendly, attentive, and ready to help with a warm smile, and their professional, caring service made us feel valued. I had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Bangkok Atrium. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, clean rooms that are spacious and comfortable, and a convenient location for getting around Bangkok, shopping, and exploring.

The building could use an upgrade, especially the lifts, but we still had a great stay and no problems with the staff or service. Our airport transfer with the hotel was great too. The main headache was the elevators. There were only two during our three days and two nights, and they were slow, crowded, and stopped at each floor. We got stuck once and were really scared, though they fixed it right away. There was also a power outage, but that was resolved the same day. Iconsiam is quite far, so allow plenty of time if you're heading there for a dinner cruise, since traffic can be awful and the lift is slow. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and welcoming, and breakfast and the ambiance were good. Wifi was okay at around 50mbps. The executive lounge had a good view and food. It's a good option if you're on a budget and have no time constraints. The Golden palace is very close, praram9 hospital is nearby, and Siam Paragon is the closest good mall.

The restaurant team took great care of me. Thanks to Praew, Dream, Enety, and Nook for being so friendly and professional. As a Platinum member, I really appreciated the Welcome Drink, and the room upgrade through my member benefits was great too. The team knows how to look after guests. I'd highly recommend the hotel for its service and Platinum recognition!

The staff are always top notch. I only know one name, Pear from room service, but he was so attentive and polite, serving me with a big smile even at 5 am. The rooms are spacious, though a bit old. That's fine by me as long as they're quiet and clean, and they were. Food quality could be a little better, for example the pastries don't look very appealing. The location may not be in the best area, but there's plenty around and it's easy to get to. Lovely hotel with amazing staff!
