The room gets outside noise, and they only left two small bottles of water. I would’ve appreciated more.

Really disappointed by the indifferent approach from bjs. The owner or manager refused to fix the ceiling pressure valve, which made a knocking sound like someone at my door because of a water pressure issue. I wrote a note asking for it to be fixed, but they just asked me to change rooms. The bathroom floor wasn’t level and caused flooding. If someone prone to falling got hurt, who would be responsible? I gave them an ultimatum to repair it, but they refused or couldn’t be bothered with a simple fix.

I’d deleted an earlier bad review because I didn’t want to hurt the business and figured everyone makes mistakes. But I’m staying for two weeks and had another bad experience with the same receptionist. I asked in the morning if my room could be cleaned before 12 or after 1 because I had an online meeting. She said not before; I agreed to after 1, and she said okay. At 12:40 the cleaner knocked. I couldn’t answer while working. At 1, I went downstairs and explained, asking if someone could clean the room then. The receptionist said they might have finished my floor already. I said there was trash and no paper in the room and asked if they could do it now. She just stared at me. I asked in Chinese if she understood Chinese, because I couldn’t see why a simple request was so hard to understand, but got no answer. There are also small ants, so food can’t be left in the trash. Otherwise, I wouldn’t need cleaning so often. Last time, my computer mouse had clearly been knocked onto the floor during cleaning. Its battery cover was off, the battery had been put back the wrong way, with the plus end not matched to the plus, and it was stuck and hard to remove. I didn’t complain because the mouse still worked once I fixed it, but all of this is too much. Someone who just wants to relax at a hotel can’t get a basic request handled. Now I’m afraid to leave my laptop and equipment there in case they get damaged.

A really nice place. The room is comfortable for the price.
