Hotel Paraiso

The place was very noisy, and I could hear everything the neighbors said. The internet didn’t work at all, so I had to use all my phone data. There were bugs all over, and the room clearly wasn’t being cleaned. The bedsheets had stains everywhere, and there were boogers on the walls.

I killed nine mosquitoes and three cockroaches during my stay, and switching rooms made no difference. It seemed like an infestation. The sheets were dirty and stained with bodily fluids. I’m pretty sure the towels and pillowcases were reused too, since they smelled awful and had hair on them.

The good points were the price, a kettle, a fridge, strong air conditioning and being near the MRT Blue Line. The room was a decent size, though the bed was hard as steel, the walls were paper thin and the balcony tiny. If you’re over six feet tall, watch your head. Wi-Fi wasn’t very good, either. I couldn’t check in until 2 p.m., but there’s a waiting room with fans, Wi-Fi and electricity. Fine for a few nights while passing through BKK. Recommended.

This place has gone downhill. Flies and ants were all over, and the room wasn’t being cleaned. The bed had stains, and there were things left behind by previous guests in the restroom. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, so it didn’t work.
