The stars are for the breakfast. It’s an excellent little hidden spot, though very small and not much decorated. The Western breakfast choices are great, with homemade jams, eggs, toast, French toast, fresh juice, coffee, and other hot drinks. Breakfast runs from 7:30 until 1 PM. Parking isn’t easy, and you have to walk a bit from the nearest parking area. If you’re nearby, it’s worth it.

The service was very nice, and the staff were always helpful and spoke fluent English. The room felt overpriced for its quality, though, it was dull and didn’t have a small fridge. Having to pay extra for the breakfast option also left a bad impression.

The location worked really well, with a metro station nearby, plenty of restaurants and bars on the street, and lots of taxis passing through. We stayed four days, having just arrived in Thailand, and Jac welcomed us warmly and explained everything we needed to know about Bangkok. Before we arrived, Jac and Pom had sent clear directions, including a paragraph in Thai for our taxi driver, which he really appreciated. Our room, on the first floor across from the stairs, was spacious and nicely decorated. The bedding was very comfortable, and the room was well insulated from noise and light. The bathroom was lovely, with hot water and good shower pressure. Everything was very clean, and the room was cleaned daily. There was a safe, TV, and air conditioning. Breakfast was included and was generous, homemade, and delicious: wholemeal toast, fresh juice, a hot drink, including real hot chocolate, and a choice of crêpes, French toast, muesli, and more. In the middle of our round-the-world trip, that little taste of France was a daily treat and pure bliss. Don’t hesitate for a second!

The welcome from the owner was generous and friendly, and Jacques was very helpful with excellent advice. Breakfast with homemade products was excellent too. I spent three nights at Hansaah last weekend, and this guesthouse has a lot of charm and character. My room, Bua, faced the street, but I slept soundly after busy days sightseeing in Bangkok. Nothing disturbed me. Discovering this place was a real joy.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Jacques and Pom gave us a warm welcome, and we spent some wonderful time talking with them about France, Thailand, and the rest of the world. Breakfast was generous, with everything homemade, including the bread, jam, and waffles. The coffee was the best, and it was the only espresso we had during our whole stay in Thailand. Definitely an address to recommend.
