Hostel 24 Backpackers

I was here for almost two weeks, and it’s a comfortable, affordable place, especially if you’re on your own. The location is convenient, with 7-Eleven stores everywhere. Staff helped make guests feel at ease, and the owner was approachable. I had a great time in Thailand, and this place was a good choice.

The food smell on the ground floor was awful. It made me nauseous several times, and once I threw up. The floors were pretty dirty, and the beds were crowded together and hard to sleep in. Staff were friendly, but could be more professional. The hostel needs an update and renovation.

The photos gave a fake impression compared with what I found. The hostel was rubbish, smelled bad, and the beds had bugs and insects. With people coming and going, they really need to maintain cleanliness. I’d never return. Worst hostel ever, not worth your money.

The bed felt like it was made for a fakir, not a person. I could feel all the springs, and the cheap bedding didn’t fit the mattress, so it kept sliding off. I ended up sleeping directly on the mattress. I don’t understand how this place has such a high rating right now. There’s a reception desk, but nobody is ever there. If you need someone, you have to wait or find the woman. There are phone numbers too, but don’t expect a quick reply. The AC only runs from 18:00 to 10 AM. Outside those hours, the room is almost unbearably hot. There’s barely any room beyond the beds. There’s no soap, toilet paper, free locker, or towels, and just one toilet per floor, which is also used as the shower. The WiFi password is only available by QR code. Some parts of the building have low ceilings, so if you’re average height you might hit your head. A note by the entrance says the door closes at 24, but we had no key, and getting in required a number. This is only my first day, so I hope there aren’t bed bugs. I’ll update.
