ibis Bangkok Riverside

I came for the river view, and it was absolutely worth it. The room is small but thoughtfully arranged, with everything you need. The location is great, and the wide river, gentle morning light and city lights at night made for a beautiful view from morning until bedtime. I had a lovely stay and will be back.

The location is good, and I like the idea of rooms with toys and tables for children. But the rooms are tiny and feel very budget, like at other Ibis hotels, and this one is old as well. Breakfast was very poor, and you can’t count on your luggage being brought up to your room. The price-to-quality ratio is really bad. Three weeks earlier, we stayed at a much better hotel for the same price. This place should definitely cost less.

The riverside setting gave us lovely views and made it convenient to reach many of Bangkok’s popular attractions. We got the room view we’d requested when booking, and the room was clean and well maintained, though a bit compact. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently professional, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good overall, but there weren’t many vegetarian choices, and several kinds of bread were repeated across our four days. The hotel also has an outdoor massage spa near the pool, with prices that seemed competitive with similar services outside. The swimming pool was clean and well kept. I had a comfortable stay overall, though a few things could be improved.

The pool was impressive, right beside the river, with boats passing by and cool views. If you’re lucky, you might even see locals fishing 🎣 There are lots of local restaurants and massage shops nearby, plus two 7elevens just a few minutes away, and ICONSIAM is within walking distance. We had a very good view from our room. The room and bathroom weren’t the biggest we’ve had, but both were comfortable and well maintained. All the staff were attentive, and the man at the front, maybe security, was especially lovely xx
