The main reason I booked was that Fat Cow, with its great range of Thai craft beer, is only a couple of minutes away on foot. The room was quiet and clean, and had a fridge, solid Wi-Fi, two complimentary water bottles, and a little balcony that seems intended for smoking. There’s a 7/11 just around the corner, too. I paid 20 Euros for the night, which felt like a good Bangkok price.

The room was good and the MRT is right nearby, but the service was another story. The male owner seemed aggressive and kept muttering, so if possible, I’d suggest speaking with his daughter. Also check the dorm charges before you sign. I was billed an extra 500THB per month for internet, and nobody mentioned it beforehand.

There’s a morning and evening market right along the street outside, and the MRT is very close. The place itself was clean and good value, with a sitting area, a small porch, fridge, TV, and laundry facilities. A good spot to stay.
