The front desk staff were helpful and spoke English clearly. With most other staff, English was limited, so it was hard to communicate. When I called the operator to ask for something, they often couldn’t understand me. The hotel is down a small alley, so I wouldn’t call the location prime compared with other city hotels. For a 3.5-star place, it’s not bad.

We met the owner over breakfast, a lovely, friendly man with his family. The rooms were very clean, the beds had very good mattresses, and breakfast was good. Greetings from Holland, Emile Tureay and Sandra Koevoets.

We caught the mistake immediately after paying: we’d booked the wrong month. I contacted the hotel within minutes to ask for a correction, but they refused to change the dates or refund anything, citing a strict non-refundable policy. Booking.com also approached them for us and got the same refusal. The hotel had rooms available on the dates we actually needed, so changing the reservation wouldn’t have cost them anything. Now we’re paying for a room we won’t use. The hotel chose to be inflexible instead of offering basic hospitality. If you expect even minimal customer service or a property that stands by its guests, look elsewhere.

I’m here with my boss, who’s also a friend, for a couple of days. The room is really nice, and the lobby and hotel look beautiful. There’s an awesome pool and bar upstairs, and the customer service is top notch. Nana Plaza is close by.

We found the beds very comfortable, and the rooms were comfy. Breakfast was good too, and we enjoyed the coffee. The public areas look really run down, though, and the hotel hasn’t aged well. They’re in desperate need of some TLC.
