I reached the so-called hotel and found it locked. The sign said to call a number and ring the doorbell, but neither worked. A woman came about an hour later and decided not to give me the room because she said I was rude. After waiting that long, how was I supposed to feel? I found DD rooms n cafe nearby, which was a genuine hotel at a better rate and in a better location. Glad I didn’t end up staying at JL.

The only thing that didn’t suit me was the bed, which felt a little hard for my taste. The rest of the staff were nice and friendly, and the manager, Nig, was wonderful and helped me a lot. She even lent me a kettle and fan from her own home, and gave me useful suggestions for getting around and finding restaurants.

The rooms were clean at this newly opened residency, and the owners were really friendly. Our 1:30am check-in was a little confusing because it wasn’t at the residency itself. We had to go across the street to number 1066, a white fence with a small car park behind it. It wasn’t a big problem, though. Chaiyavit and his aunt were very welcoming and drove us the 30 meters to the residency. I’d recommend staying here.
