KC Place Srinakarin

I wasn’t expecting much at this price in Bangkok, but the stay turned out better than I’d thought. The room was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for my things, a clean toilet, enough facilities, and a small balcony. I liked it and would recommend it if you need somewhere near the airport.

The reception staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning was cold, and it’s easy to get here by BTS. The train market is also within walking distance. Parking is the biggest problem. There’s very little bike parking, and the surface isn’t flat. There have also been a lot of bike theft cases here, so the hotel locked our bikes up for us with their own locks.

I stayed here several times while traveling to Bangkok for work. I kept booking because the location was good and the price reasonable, though this is really a service apartment, not hotel service. It’s close to shopping malls, the airport area, and restaurants. Security was good, the air conditioning was okay, and the cleaning and internet were average. They require a 500 baht key card deposit in cash. The bed felt like stone, the pillows were poor quality and cost extra, and the pillowcases were clean but reddish. The towels were very old, though clean, and the shower head didn’t work.

The front desk girl was nice, but the hotel is old and a bit loud. They charge for little things, even water and use of the gym, and all that nickel-and-diming adds up to what a nice hotel in a good location would cost.
