Krongthong Mansion & Hotel

I paid 17,000 baht for a 30-day stay in a “deluxe room,” and it’s overpriced. The rooms are older and worn, and there’s no kitchen for cooking. Halfway through my stay, they cut the electricity without warning because apparently the bill is due before it arrives. They refused to turn it back on. The wifi is extremely slow and frustrating at times. There are better places in BKK for the same price, so I don’t recommend this building. I learned my lesson and would advise others to be cautious. Those 3 star reviews are there for a reason.

Housekeeping has kept the place clean, but the management has felt increasingly negative over the past 3-4 years. Parking has become a mess, with cars spread around a littered, disorganized area that also gets used by staff for relaxing, eating, drinking, and doing laundry. I reported it to the manager three times. Each time things improved briefly, then slipped back into disorder. I feel like staff have targeted me because I keep raising the issue: my car tires were punctured five times in less than two weeks!!!!! Nobody seems to care about what goes on behind the scenes. The attitude feels like, if you're unhappy, go somewhere else.

The location is nice, but the rooms aren't properly sealed, so cockroaches and ants get in. Road noise goes on around the clock, and rain can leave the hallway flooded.

Good price, and a nice place to stay.
