The family running this place made my stay. Tan, one of their sons and about my age, even took me to Chinatown one evening. He was really nice. Wi-Fi was fast and dependable, which matters a lot to me for work, and laundry was affordable, came back folded the next day, and was great overall. Getting around was the main drawback. It’s about 10-15 minutes by motorbike from Terminal 21, so I had to order a Grab to go places, and deliveries cost more too. Still manageable, but the biggest downside. There was some noise, though it was more like background white noise than sudden loud sounds, so it didn’t bother me much. When people upstairs moved around, the bed moved too, which felt a little awkward when I was trying to sleep, lol. I really recommend this place and hope you’ll support the family.

As a solo woman, I felt safe walking here at night, and the location worked perfectly for me, near the city centre, malls, and clinics. There are two 7 elevens close by, plus a road with a pharmacy and a few shops. Peter (the owner) and the aunties and uncles on the street were so kind. I stayed over Christmas and New Year and loved it. The room was nice, the AC worked well, and I never saw any mosquitoes. The water was cold, but I’d seen that in earlier reviews and didn’t really mind. I’d love to come back.

It’s in a Thai neighborhood with fewer farangs, so I enjoyed getting a feel for the local atmosphere. The busy areas are about an hour away on foot, or a short taxi ride, and there’s a 24-hour takeaway right beside the hotel with delicious Thai food. Pete and his family are lovely, and the rooms were spotless with everything I needed. A real Bangkok gem for a budget stay. Highly recommend.

I booked this place at the last minute, and it turned out to be a great base for my first week in Thailand. It was affordable, quiet, welcoming, and an easy place to meet other travelers. The staff were kind and sweet. I’ll probably stay here again next time I’m in Bangkok.
