You can cook your own meals here, which is a handy option. I also liked the friendly, upbeat staff, who made the place feel homey. My room was clean, and I stayed four nights. It's tucked into an alley just off the main road, with Asok and Sukhumvit stations both a short walk away for getting around Bangkok. For a budget meal, Pier in Terminal 21 has a big food court with different dishes for 30-50 baht.

The team were kind and professional from the booking help at the start to our last day. I got the date wrong and nearly missed our flight, but a receptionist caught it, and the driver helped us load our bags quickly. We reached the airport with enough time to eat and catch the flight smoothly. They’ll be our regular place to stay in Bangkok. We were three, my husband, our baby daughter, and me, and spent five nights in a Premiere Studio room with a balcony. It was comfortable, clean, and had a bathtub. Cooking tools were available on request, though we didn't use them. The rooftop pool was nice, and the laundry machines and dryer were free. Bring your own detergent. There’s also a lift shuttle bus to Sukhumvit 18-20. The hotel is down a small alley, about a 15-minute walk from Asok or Phrom Phong Station. A shuttle bus takes you to Sukhumvit Road, which made getting around pretty convenient.

The photos online gave a misleading impression of the condition of some rooms. Room 201 was in terrible shape and not acceptable. Even though they said the hotel was full, I pushed for a refund or another option. After a long discussion at 1:30 AM, the staff moved me to Room 502. It was much better, though still a bit dated. The staff stayed friendly throughout and deserve credit for sorting it out so late. Free shuttles to the main street were useful, but the coffee machine at reception was broken during our stay. Decent value, though some rooms clearly need updating. Avoid Room 201.

The birthday room decorations from the staff were a lovely surprise and made the stay feel special. Aspira Suites Sukhumvit 20 is in a central spot in Sukhumvit, and the spacious rooms have private balconies. Everything felt very clean and well maintained. I also really liked the rooftop pool as a place to unwind. It was a great choice for my Bangkok visit.
