Mile Map Hostel

Quiet at night, with a kitchen for anyone who wants to cook and even a post box for sending postcards. The bathrooms were plentiful and the showers had hot water. It was clean and comfortable, and the best hostel we stayed in while in Bangkok. Crispy guy at the front desk was a character :)

There’s a local food street right beside the hostel, with really good, inexpensive food. Definitely try the watermelon shake! It’s also close to a metro station, and the ride from the airport took about 40-50 minutes and cost around 85 baht per person. We were happy with Mike Map after staying in two Bangkok hostels. The private room had a lovely bathroom, and it was quiet enough to sleep and rest well. The beds were okay, and the location, facilities, rooms, and staff were all nice. We’d recommend staying here.

The hostel is on a short dead-end street, so there wasn’t any street noise. There’s a large Indian temple on the nearest corner, which made a useful landmark when we were walking around. It was very central for the places we wanted to see, and the staff were helpful. We had a private room and were delighted with our stay. We’ll be back in two weeks and stay here again.

I got a single room for under $30 a night, and slept well because it’s quiet at night despite being right in central Bangkok. There are lots of good restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and there’s a rooftop patio.
