Loftel 22 Hostel

My first Bangkok hostel, and I loved it. The place was super clean and quiet, with a good location and really top-quality service. There's a nice coffee shop downstairs, too. After two nights in the dorm, I added two more nights in a private room with one bed, and liked it just as much, maybe even more. Highly recommend ♥️

The location right in Chinatown is great, and everything was clean and looked after. Staff were nice and spoke English well. There's a cafe on the first floor with affordable prices, which was a plus. Good for a few nights. I only missed having a small kitchen. There's just a fridge and kettle.

I spent a week here and would gladly return if I get the chance. What stood out most was the welcoming atmosphere: the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hostel felt calm and relaxing after a day out. It's close to the city center, so nearby attractions were easy to explore. My room was tidy and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept well. The facilities covered the essentials and were well equipped.

This is a family-run place, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I found the location handy too: 7/11 is next door, local cafes and restaurants are nearby, Chinatown is a 15-minute walk, and the metro and river boat stations are about 10 minutes away on foot. There's a bus stop right outside, and cabs can get you quickly to either side of the city. The downstairs cafe made good coffee. We stayed two days in June 25 in a four-bed dorm with no window. We had it to ourselves, so there was plenty of space. The bed was firm but the pillow was comfortable, and with the clean room, blanket, towel, and AC, I slept well. It was quiet, and all the facilities were very clean. The shower and toilet are outside the room but close by; they were clean, with shampoo and soap provided and enough room to hang towels. The amenities were basic but more than we expected: fridge, kettle, microwave, filtered water, lockers, laundry, and a rooftop area. Self-service washing or drying cost 40 baht, which was very helpful. A 24-hour laundry service was also available if needed. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting an inexpensive stay in Bangkok. There didn't seem to be many other guests, so it suited a quiet visit. If you're looking for a social scene or nightlife, I'd choose somewhere else.
