The room was huge and the Wi-Fi was fast, but the water tasted bad even after I boiled it several times. The building was so quiet it felt a little creepy at first, though I got used to it. I booked through Airbnb with hosts Yuki & Yoko for less than $30 USD, a really cheap rate. The place is secluded and peaceful, with no noise worries. There are Japanese restaurants in rows nearby, Soi Cowboy is walkable, and massage parlours are a few streets away. The BTS was too far for me, about 1 km on foot. There’s no elevator, and climbing the big stairs to my room, number 9, got tiring when I had to come and go. You can walk to either Phrom Phong or Asok station.

It's inexpensive and well placed if you're okay walking to the BTS, MRT, Airport City Line, and Klong footpath and ferryboat. The chap running it was helpful, though he wasn't there around the clock.

The power went out during my stay, and then I couldn't open the front door. That's a serious fire hazard. Avoid this place.
